🌞 Cooling Off with Cultura Mia on Good Morning Arizona
This summer, we had the honor of joining Good Morning Arizona to share the story behind Cultura Mia and the refreshing tradition of aguas frescas.

Julian grew up in Mexico drinking these classic bebidas, but when he came to Phoenix, he couldn’t find the authentic taste that reminded him of home. So, guided by family recipes from his mom and abuela, he decided to start making them himself. With just a dream and the flavors of his childhood, Cultura Mia was born.
“I couldn’t really find the one that was like, man, this reminds me of home. So I thought — why not just start my own thing? I made the recipes the way my mom and grandma made them, and people loved them.” – Julian
Today, Cultura Mia offers six staple flavors — including favorites like Mango Lime and Strawberry Lime — plus one rotating seasonal flavor to keep things fresh. Right now, you can try our summer hit: Sandía Fresca (Watermelon).
Nancy shared her personal favorites on-air:
🌺 Flor de Jamaica (Hibiscus) – “The most traditional, staple flavor in Mexican culture.”
🍍 Oro Tropical (Pineapple Lime) – “Light, refreshing, almost like a Dole Whip — but even lighter, and all-natural.”
We also showed viewers how easy it is to use Cultura Mia aguas frescas as a base for creative drinks. On the segment, we made a virgin mojito with our Lemon Lime with Mint flavor:
Start with half a cup of our agua fresca
Add fresh mint (just rub the leaves to activate the aroma!)
Pour over ice
Top with lime sparkling water
The result? A crisp, refreshing mocktail that’s perfect for Arizona summers.
“Right now, the summer is the perfect time to get some aguas frescas. You don’t want to be thirsty — and we’re here for you.” – Julian
